LIFE IS A CEREMONY

Rituals have become a non-negotiable part of my lifestyle. The non-negotiables recently have been, going to the gym, practicing yoga and meditation, dancing and savoring a tea/cacao outside in silence. Anything that you can do for yourself can be considered a self-care ritual, such as having a bath or lighting a candle. There are so many opportunities. It is all about your intention and presence with the rituals that you incorporate into your daily lifestyle and routine.

Rituals are a sacred time where you can have the opportunity to become intimate with yourself, with life itself.

Rituals will be woven into our sessions during our time together. I will also suggest some rituals that you could utilize to connect with yourself and with your family during your own time. Some examples include a herbal bath, soft touch massage, massaging your baby before being bathed, journaling and self-inquiry, art and dancing meditation.

I believe life in general is a ceremony and when you treat each moment as a ritual and is celebrated, your mindset can really shift.

CEREMONIES

Ceremonies are offered and facilitated throughout your pregnancy and postpartum. The Complete Birthkeeper Package is the only package that includes ceremonies in the rate, otherwise, ceremonies will be an additional cost. Ceremonies can also be purchased by women who haven’t purchased any of the packages and services I offer. Contact me for further information and a quote as the costs are dependent on the amount of people present and your requirements.

  • A beautiful ceremony takes place, traditionally with the pregnant woman and her friends and family. It is similar to a baby shower, however this is more of a sacred journey, where the expectant mother is adorned with flowers, touched and embraced by the special women in her life. There is also a sharing circle, offering gratitude and love. The focus is placed more on the pregnant woman rather than the baby, celebrating her and how she is being initiated into motherhood.

Depending on the amount of people present, the ceremony may be guided for 2 or 3 hours.

It is commonly done with only women, however the soon to be father can also be celebrated and shown love in the presence of men, not just women.

    Price: $240 minimum

  • The 2-3 hour ceremony is offered during postpartum with the use of a Rebozo, a shawl that is traditionally used in Mexico. The ceremony celebrates the woman’s initiation and embodiment into motherhood. It allows the new mother to integrate her birth experience, to be seen, felt and nurtured by the special women in her life, whilst allowing her body to become realigned and get back into balance.

    Price: $240 minimum

  • A ceremony will take place for about an hour, either with the extended family and close friends or just with the immediate family. The placenta will be buried in the garden under you favorite tree or if you would like to buy a tree to plant you could also do this. Art can also be incorporated into the ceremony as a way to further connect with the placenta. A sharing circle will also take place to cultivate gratitude for the placenta that provided nourishment for your baby whilst being in the womb.

    Price: $75 minimum

  • Circles will be offered both online and in person to provide an opportunity to gather together with likeminded women. This provides moments to truly connect with others and yourselves, to be felt, seen and heard. It allows others to fully meet you wherever you are in your journey.

It's so beautiful to witness people being their authentic selves. This is a sacred and safe space, where you are invited to be open and vulnerable. Witnessing others being vulnerable also allows you to be vulnerable. Seeing others go through a similar situation or having similar feelings enables you to relate to them and feel like you belong and that you are not the only one going through this. There are so many universal human themes such as the feeling of loneliness, sadness, anger and grief. This enables us to connect more with each other on a deeper level.

Circles will go up to 2 or 3 hours and includes a guided meditation, somatic embodiment practices and a sharing circle.

Price: $13 per person online, $25 per person in person

For those who purchase the packages that I offer, you will have access to an online portal which includes women's circles.
